Being in a strange country away from family and friends is daunting at the best of times but being a Mammy of two small humans in this situation can sometimes feel very lonely.
Bristol Gal born and bread, the furtherest I had ever gone from home was Spain, that was before I met my best friend…lets call him “expat daddy”. Ive been an expat for 8 years now, mainly here in the big beautiful sandpit of Dubai but also spending a brief stint in Holland. During this time I’ve become a mother of two beautiful little people, these two worlds have collided and I trying to navigate them in the best way I can. Im honest, occasionally humorous and what you read is what you get, I struggle with Postnatal depression and the up and downs that are involved in trying to be the “perfect mother”.
