What the ladybird heard Live

Yesterday we took LPV for a very special treat, A live theatre production of What the ladybird heard. We are huge Julia Donaldson fans so I knew he’d love it. It’s part of a UK tour that they brought here to the Ductac theatre in Dubai. It was wonderful, the stage setting was basic but awesome, the show was completely interactive with the children they got to shout out what items on the stage they could use to build animals. The actors were super and the songs were so catchy and upbeat.

LPV was super excited, however I’m not sure if was about the show or his flip-up seat in the theatre, he clapped, he shouted he sung. It’s so nice to see him at an age where he can appreciate these things. He got a little fidgety and tired towards the end but he had already done a swimming lesson that morning so I think it wore him out.

The audience participation was great at one point I think all the daddy’s sunk as low into their seats as they possibly could, when they asked for two male volunteers. I know expat daddy did!! We were not allowed to take photo’s but I got some sneaky ones in, so they’re not great quality unfortunately.

My advice you would be, book tickets for this show, your children will love it, I’m sure it’s coming to a city near you

Here’s a few sneaky shots

Tarana, you’ll love it. DUCTAC is a great venue for live theatre. It’s big enough, but not too big. I took my 5 and 12 year old to see George’s Marvellous Medicine a while back and it was fantastic.
