The Snuggly family

Ok it maybe cheesy that’s what we’ve nicknamed ourselves as we walked the streets of Amsterdam today freezing out bazooka’s off. We have left the temperatures of the sandpit of around 32’c and arrived to temperatures of 2!!!!

So far its fabulous, it’s not as clean and well-kept as Dubai but labour is cheap there so they can have men picking up chewing gum etc. It was a foggy day, we walked by canals, through markets listening to church bells, god I missed church bells. This place has culture, character, history, it’s fantastic. It is however a place to be trained in, how to tackle the million and one forms of transport that can kill you at anytime!! If you’re not getting ploughed down by a bike your going to get it by a tram, in a Rita Fairclough/Alan Bradley type scenario. I think when we are settled into our home I will tackle the streets in a Lara Croft Tomb raider style ( I think I may need to work of my post baby body for this, can you still say post bay when he’s almost eighteen months????)

Whilst out walking you can smell the hash, you can walk into a supermarket and by WINE!!!!!!!!and you don’t have to be polite to someone who is arrogant as shit because of the religion they practice and the way they are dressed!!

So far I love it, I’m hoping it stays this way.

Ouch, that’s colder than here! I’ve never been to Amsterdam, always wanted to, so I look forward to hearing about your exploits 🙂

I am happy to hear you are loving it there! And yes, you can still stay “post baby body” at 18 months. We should get at least 3 years for that, right?
